Moneris' settlement options are fast, simple and flexible. Moneris transfers credit and debit card funds to the one Canadian financial institution account of your choice.

For deposits going to RBC Royal Bank or BMO Bank of Montreal

• draft capture transactions processed by 23:00 local processing centre time are settled and receive same day value
• host settlement files received by 18:00 local processing centre time are settled and receive same day value

For deposits going to another financial institution, an additional day or more is required by the receiving institution to process the proceeds.

US Dollar (USD) settlement

An additional payment choice that allows you to provide better service to US-based customers is US Dollar Settlement. Without the need for currency conversion, you eliminate confusion for your customers, and reduce your administration time by advertising and selling in US dollars.

It is available for credit card purchases when the card is not present, such as telephone and mail order as well as those for e-commerce sales, and funds are deposited into USD bank accounts at Canadian Financial Institutions. Currently, settlement requires 2-3 business days once the batch is closed.

For USD Visa and USD MasterCard, merchants can only settle transactions to a RBC Royal Bank, BMO Bank of Montreal, or HSBC USD bank account.
